Meet the Team!

Adam here!

What is your role at MT Loos?

As a driver/operative at MT Loos you’ll mostly see me driving up and down the country delivering or collecting our loos! I’ve been here since 2006 – not quite gold watch retirement level just yet! I joined from my previous job working in a steelworks and just haven’t ever wanted to leave!

What do you love about your role?

What I really enjoy is the ability to be relatively independent. I’m a pro at organising my working day, and love nothing more than heading out on the open road.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Outside work I like to keep myself busy and enjoy playing tennis and squash. On days where I feel like doing something a little less strenuous you may find me sat at a chessboard, pondering my next move!

Any funny stories to tell?

Only my favourite toilet-related joke:

Q: Why did the toilet paper roll down the hill?

A: Because it wanted to get to the bottom!

Alison says hello!

What is your role at MT Loos?

I consider myself the MT Loos general dogsbody… ha ha! I’m in the admin team and I’ve been here since 2022. I’ve actually been in the industry for the last 15 years, so have bags of experience, having previously run a portable toilet business in Swindon.

What do you love about your role?

I couldn’t think of anything worse than just feeling like you’re doing the same thing, day in day out. Variety is the spice of life and that’s one of the things that I love about working at MT Loos. It keeps me on my toes! I really do believe that if your work is varied and fun, you enjoy it more and that shows in how you deal with customers.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love wielding a chainsaw… no really, it’s true! I’m currently training to be able to use one officially and then fallen trees and debris… watch out! All this has stemmed from me being pretty green fingered, spending much of my spare time gardening, my passion for which has just grown & grown (excuse the pun!) I also have dogs that are just the best company and you’ll often see them taking me out for a walk – or should that be the other way around?!

Any funny stories to tell?

We once found police handcuffs in one of the loos… I was gutted that we had to give them back! Another time we’d loaded up and had to pull off a site very quickly. We’d just pumped out a disabled toilet but some silly sausage went straight in afterwards, before we’d finished unloading… I decided to move it ever so slightly and the man screamed like a baby… his mates were in fits of laughter!

When your name fits…. Many, many years ago I was emptying my truck into a cess logger in Gloucester. I didn’t realise that pressure had built up in the outlet pipe and when I disconnected it…. I was covered from head to toe in bright blue chemicals and poo – so much so that it turned  my hair blue! To this day those ‘in the know’ refer to me as Springfield’s own Marge Simpson.

Life is full of c**p… I just wished my hair and clothes weren’t!

That’s life… you live and learn (hopefully!)

Here’s Tracey! The Boss

What is your role at MT Loos?

I’m the owner of MT Loos, and have been here since 1999! It feels like forever, but having previously been an agricultural secretary I can honestly say time has flown by in this role and I’ve just loved working with our team.

What do you love about your role?

The role is so varied and I really enjoy turning my hand to whatever is needed. I’m the kind of person that can’t sit around doing nothing, I love to keep busy – so this is the perfect environment for me as I’m never at a loose end.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love horsing around…. By that I mean you’ll find me doing anything horse-related when I’m not in work!! Of course in this country that means that I’m often out battling whatever the weather throws at me while I’m riding but I’m OK with that too. I guess you could say I’m an outdoorsy type of person!

Any funny stories to tell?

Nothing funny as such… I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of running a business. Laughing with the team at what life throws at us every day!

Introducing Adam!

What is your role at MT Loos?

I’ve been with MT Loos since 2021, taking on a variety of roles from cleaning loos to loading vans, repairing facilities, and handling general yard duties. I’m the go-to guy for just about anything that needs doing!

What do you love about your role?

The variety in my daily tasks keeps things interesting, I never have a dull moment! I enjoy the challenge of switching gears between different types of work, and there’s a great sense of accomplishment in keeping everything running smoothly.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

When I’m not at work, I love diving into DIY projects around the house or getting my hands dirty in the garden. It’s all about staying active and tackling new challenges, even on my days off!

Meet Jackie!

What is your role at MT Loos?

I’m also an administrator for MT Loos and I’m the longest serving member of the admin team, having been here for 20 years. I suppose you could say that MT Loos feels very much like home! My previous role was working for a property development company in London which was fun at the time but it’s been so much better not having to commute into London on a packed train every day!

What do you love about your role?

There’s something about being in a small busy office. There’s always lots going on but because the team is really small we know each other really well and we just get on. One of the best things is that because we’re a small team we get to do lots of different things, and I get involved in all areas of the business admin. I’m not sure that would happen in a bigger organisation where everyone can have very specific roles. It’s been great for my own personal development, allowing me to learn new skills.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I’m quite an active person. Because my role is office based, I like to use my spare time to take on some physical activity. You’ll often find me out hiking or walking the Chiltern Hills, or maybe even further afield if I’m taking a few days out of the office. I also practise yoga which I find is a great way to de-stress and take some time out for me. I also love eating out – there’s nothing nicer than heading out and enjoying your favourite cuisine in a local restaurant so I do try to do that whenever possible.

Meet Kevin!

What is your role at MT Loos?

I’m the Operations Manager at MT Loos and I’ve been part of the team since 2005. I’m the one that keeps things running smoothly, making sure everything is delivered on time, is in full working order and is then taken away again in a timely manner once a project or event is finished. I came to MT Loos having worked for a number of years in London for an advertisement boards company so lots of my skills were transferable. You need to be able to manage different teams to make sure that we’re all working productively and efficiently.

What do you love about your role?

I love the autonomy of my role. I find that being the one responsible for how things are running means the buck stops with me – but there’s also some freedom with that because I’m the one that makes the decisions! I’m a grafter, so hard work is in my DNA, and I love pushing myself – and the team – to ensure that we’re doing our very best for our customers. For me it’s all about delivering excellent customer service, every time.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I’m a football fan – lifelong supporter of xxxxx so I try to catch them whenever I can. I also love F1 so you’ll often find me in front of the TV on Sunday during the F1 season!

Any funny stories to tell?

There was one… some years back when we were loading at a festival, a man came over and asked to use one of the loos. I told him that he needed to use one at the far end because we were already loading the ones nearer to us. He clearly didn’t pay much attention to me and managed to head into the loo we were loading next! So there he was, loaded up onto our trailer while he was still inside the loo! Needless to say he wasn’t very happy when he came out, and used a few expletives to express himself – but like somebody on site told him, s**t happens!!

Say hello to Biggers!

What is your role at MT Loos?

I’ve been working as a driver/operative at MT Loos since 2006 – time flies when you’re having fun!

What do you love about your role?

Working at MT Loos means I can make the most of the freedom of the open road, I love it. I’m also a real stickler for attention to detail which comes in handy here too!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Anyone who spends any time with me knows how much I like singing… maybe that’s another plus point about working here – I can croon away when I’m out driving! I also love taking the kids away on trips and making the most of time with the family.

Say hi to Gillian!

What is your role at MT Loos?

I joined MT Loos as an administrator in 2015 – I can’t believe how quickly that time has flown by… they do say ‘time flies when you’re having fun’, don’t they?! In a previous life I was an accounts clerk, working at the head office of an optical company. I’m a very organised person and I like to get things done so this role is perfect for me and my skills!

What do you love about your role?

No two days are the same! I’m a social person and I love chatting to people, so being able to deal with members of the public every day makes each day much more enjoyable for me. I love nothing more than having a chat with our customers, finding out about the events or projects they are planning. And would you believe it… we also talk about the weather a lot! I guess that can’t be helped with how unpredictable it is – especially when it comes to planning outdoor events!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to cook, so working on new recipes and trying new food has become a real hobby. Going to the theatre whenever I can is something I thoroughly enjoy, as is spending as much time as possible with my grandson – who is growing up way too quickly!

Ian Here!

What is your role at MT Loos?

As a Driver/Operative at MTLoos, my work mostly revolves around driving to collections, deliveries and cleans throughout my day. Each day at MTLoos looks different and I love the variation and challenges involved as a result of this!

What do you love about your role?

As a very organized individual I thoroughly enjoy being able to order my work allowing prompt procedures and customer satisfaction. I started working for MTLoos in April 2025 having previously worked at hardware shop for 18 years! Having worked in a customer facing job previously means many of mypreviously developed skills are transferrable … communicating well with my team and maintaining excellent customer support!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

My family is very important to me, on weekends I enjoy taking my Son to football and spending quality time with him! If I’m looking for something more relaxing then you may also find me at my local pub with a cold beer!

Any funny stories to tell?

No funny stories but… I can recreate a mean version of Tragedy by the Steps at any given opportunity…which some may find funny!
